For over fifty years, it has been the mission of St. Albans Country Day School to offer an academically challenging and personally enriching educational program for all of our students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Small classes and high expectations help to create an atmosphere where students have a close connection to our highly qualified faculty and supportive staff. It is our belief that character and intellect are of equal importance and as a school community, we promote integrity, empathy, and a concern for the welfare of others in a safe and nurturing environment.
We currently offer wonderful enrichment classes which include Spanish, art, band, music and drama, and computers which augment our rigorous academic classes. We have an outstanding library and a state-of-the-art computer laboratory to enhance our facilities. Students graduate from St. Albans with strong academic skills and a solid foundation in character education, which serves them well when they attend parochial, private, or public high schools. Our students consistently score extremely well on nationally standardized tests and they are able to place into advanced classes in high school because of their outstanding performance on high school challenge tests.
Having received our fourth, consecutive, six year, accreditation in 2018 from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), we feel that our high standards - both academically and personally - serve our students well in communicating effectively, working collaboratively and making a positive contribution to society. We are proud of our long standing tradition of educating children and we know that the tools we provide have helped many to achieve great success in their chosen field.
We look forward to meeting your family and invite you to learn more about St. Albans Country Day School; our academic programs, our enrichment activities, and our campus. We encourage and look forward to guiding you on a tour of our campus while you explore what we can offer your child.
