Head of School

Message from Heads of School

For more than fifty years, St. Albans Country Day School has remained dedicated to providing an academically rigorous and personally enriching education for students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Small class sizes and high expectations foster close connections with our talented faculty and supportive staff, creating an environment where every child is known, challenged, and inspired. We believe that character and intellect are equally important, and our community actively promotes integrity, empathy, and respect for others within a safe and nurturing setting.

In addition to a strong academic foundation, students enjoy enriching classes in Spanish, art, band, music, drama, and technology. Our state-of-the-art computer lab and exceptional library further enhance learning opportunities. Graduates leave St. Albans with not only outstanding academic preparation, but also strong character skills that serve them well as they move on to parochial, private, or public high schools. Consistently high scores on national standardized tests and placement into advanced high school courses reflect the strength of our program.

Our commitment to excellence is affirmed by our fifth consecutive six-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), earned in 2024. These high standards—both academic and personal—equip our students to communicate effectively, collaborate productively, and make meaningful contributions to their communities. We take great pride in our long tradition of preparing children for success in school and in life.

We warmly invite your family to visit St. Albans Country Day School to discover more about our academic programs, enrichment opportunities, and beautiful campus. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing how a St. Albans education can help your child thrive.
