Student Activities

We believe strongly in providing enriching student activities that afford our students the opportunity to engage in activities that are both fun and challenging!

Visual and Performing Arts Opportunities

All students in grades K-8 attend art class once a week in the school’s art room and students in pre-kindergarten-8th grade attend music/performing arts once a week in the music room. 5th grade students attend band once a week, which is part of the 5th grade curriculum. Community Service

St. Albans students are encouraged to participate in community service. Collecting food for our local community as part of Kids Can, collecting toys for ill or disadvantaged children through CHiPs for Kids, or collecting books for needy schools all help our students to contribute to our greater community in Roseville. The St. Albans Student Council sponsors several community service activities each year, which vary depending on what the students choose to do. Our student council also oversees all of the spirit days, school dress-up days, and the end-of-the-year field day activities. Finally, all eighth grade students have the option of participating in our eighth grade community service project.

Buddy Classes

At the beginning of each new school year, all upper grade classes are paired with a lower grade class as part of our Buddy Program. The buddies meet several times a year to play games, complete activities, work on art projects and make holiday gifts, and practice reading skills. The older and younger students look forward to this time together and this program helps to strengthen the overall community.
